How to answer well
Speak slowly and clearly. Always use full sentences! Instead of just "Brazil", say "I'm from Brazil." When saying your nationality, remember: country and nationality are different words — "I am from Japan" / "I am Japanese." Practise the pronunciation of each country name before recording.

Q: Where are you from?
"I'm from Brazil. I'm from the city of Salvador, in the state of Bahia."
Q: What is your nationality?
"I'm Brazilian. My nationality is Brazilian."
Q: Is she American?
"No, she isn't. She is from the United Kingdom. She is British."
Q: What language do they speak?
"They are from Spain, so they speak Spanish."
Q: Are you Korean?
"No, I'm not Korean. I'm Brazilian. I speak Portuguese."
